Creative Development Residency
INTERCONNECT STUDIOS offers a year-long creative residency for artists seeking ongoing access to space, time, and process.
This isn’t about one-off hires or quick outcomes. It’s about having somewhere to return to—consistently—so your practice can unfold over time.
Across 12 months, residents develop their own rhythm within a shared studio environment. Some work in short, regular sessions, others settle in for longer stretches when space allows. A minimum of 3 hours per week is guaranteed, with additional access often becoming available.
The studio is shared with other artists doing the same: showing up, experimenting, refining, or simply staying connected to their work. It’s a space that holds both independence and quiet exchange.
There’s no fixed outcome attached to the residency—just the conditions to keep going.
Let’s See What Sticks
Let’s See What Sticks is a new interdisciplinary improvisation series curated by Ebony Muller and Chelsea Byrne, hosted by INTERCONNECT studios in Coburg (Naarm/Melbourne).
This EOI is for artists who have a performative improvisation practice. You might be a dancer, musician, actor, visual artist, poet, writer, acrobat, comedian, or something else. We are looking for relational, collaborative and responsive improvisers interested in engaging with the zany, uncanny and with forms, modes or people they are yet to explore.
We want to put random things and people into the space and see what sticks.
Your participation will involve a one-hour performance in with 4-5 other artists. Artists will meet 1.5 hours prior to the public performance to warm-up, plan, prepare and play.
Payment will be on a profit-share basis with each performing artist receiving an honorarium payment based on ticket sales.
