Interconnect Studio is a spacious, blank industrial-style space available to hire for creative projects, productions, events and everything in between.

The open, raw space gives you a blank canvas to work with, making it easy to transform for your shoot, workshop, exhibition, rehearsal, class, event, meeting or content creation.

Bring your own setup, props, equipment and ideas, and make the space your own. Whether you’re producing a photoshoot, filming content, running a workshop or hosting an event, Interconnect offers the flexibility to create the environment you need.

About Our Space

Please note: The Grey Tarkett is laid most of the time. Can be removed for a fee and with notice.

  • Spacious & Flexible Layout: High ceilings, open-plan warehouse space with a 12m x 15m sprung wooden floor with grey Tarkett.

  • Event Friendly: industrial style event style with a rustic feel ready to be transformed how you like. Basic lighting and sound provided.

  • Accessible Location: Conveniently located in Coburg, close to public transport and local amenities.

  • Full Blacked Out: Completely blacked out for film and performance

  • Reception/Kitchen area: equipped with 2 bathrooms, fridge, tea and coffee, microwave and reception desk.

  • Lounge area: assortment of lounges, tables and rugs for a communal hang out area

Studio Hire Rate

Studio Hire - $100 an hour

Independent Artist rate - $30 an hour

Event hire - from $1000

Please allow enough time within your booking for bump-in, setup, pack-down and exit.

Bookings run back-to-back, so we’re unable to provide additional time before or after your booking.

Your booking time includes the entire time you have access to the studio. Please ensure your space is packed up, clean and your whole team has exited by the scheduled end time.

Please note: The Independent Artist rate is specifically for rehearsals and rehearsal-based creative development. Other uses, including photography, filming, workshops, performances and events, are charged at the applicable hire rate.

  • Yes! Email us with your availability and we will get in touch with a time

  • No. You will get complete privacy for private bookings. All events will have a member of staff on site.

  • Absolutely. We just ask for all furniture to be returned prior to the end of the booking.

  • If you go over your scheduled booking time, overtime charges will apply in 15-minute increments.

  • Yes, we have three dedicated car spaces at the front of the studio.

  • Yes we have a kitchen with tea, coffee, microwave and kettle, plus a selection of plates and bowls for basic use.

  • Please no heels on the Tarkett flooring.

    Any equipment being placed on the Tarkett must be placed on a mat first. Protective mats are provided by Interconnect and must be used underneath equipment to help protect the floor.
